Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

This policy says what you may not make, upload or share with KatoGen. It's part of our Terms of Use, and it applies to prompts, uploads, outputs, public pages and anything you publish to Community.

The short version

  • Never: sexual content involving minors. We remove it, close the account and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
  • No intimate images of a real person without their consent, real or AI-made.
  • No impersonation, harassment, threats, hate or illegal content.
  • Only upload people, marks and media you have the rights to.
  • See something that breaks these rules? Report it.

You're responsible for your uploads

KatoGen has no upload gates: we don't check who or what is in the photos, video, audio and tracks you upload. Apart from the model providers' own content filters, nothing reviews them before a run. So you must have the rights to every person, mark and piece of media you upload, and the consent of the people in it for how you're using them. A filter block isn't permission: content that gets past a filter can still break this policy.

Sexual content involving minors

This ban is absolute. Don't make, upload, request or share any sexual or sexualized depiction of a person under 18, or of anyone who appears to be under 18. That includes photographs, drawings, animation and AI-made images, video and audio, and edits that make a real adult look like a minor in a sexual context.

When we find it or it's reported, we remove it, close the account, keep the records the law requires, and report it to NCMEC as US law requires. We cooperate with law enforcement.

If you come across it, report the link at katogen.ai/report or email support@katogen.ai. Don't download it, copy it or send it to us; the link is enough.

Intimate images without consent

Don't make, upload or share a nude, sexual or intimate image or video of a real, identifiable person without their consent. That includes real photos, AI-made “deepfakes”, edits that undress or sexualize someone's photo, and threats to share any of these. Consent to have a photo taken isn't consent to have it sexualized or published.

Impersonation and deception

  • Don't pose as a real person, business, club, artist or brand, or make a page that could be mistaken for theirs.
  • Don't present AI-made images, video or voices of real people as real, for example fake statements, endorsements or events, or misleading content about elections or public safety.
  • Don't use a voiceover to make it seem a real person said something they didn't.
  • Don't remove, alter or fake the Content Credentials on your outputs.

Harassment, hate and violence

  • No harassment, bullying or threats against a person or group, and no content made to humiliate a real person.
  • No publishing someone's private information (such as a home address or phone number) without their permission.
  • No content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
  • No content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism or violent extremism, or encourages self-harm.

Illegal content and others' rights

  • Nothing illegal where you are, or where the people in your content are.
  • Nothing that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights: their photos, art, logos, music, tracks or likeness, without permission.
  • No scams, fraud, fake documents or content that helps sell illegal goods or services.

Misusing KatoGen

  • Don't try to get around content filters, rate limits, credit checks or payments, or use someone else's payment method.
  • Don't attack, overload, scrape or probe KatoGen, or access it with automated tools except through features we offer.
  • Don't upload malware or anything meant to harm other people or their devices.
  • Don't sell or share access to your account, or resell KatoGen.
  • Don't use KatoGen or its outputs in a way a model's provider forbids, such as building a competing AI model from them.

Public pages and Community

Event, release and stylist pages are public, and so is anything you publish to Community, including its prompt and settings. Everything on them must follow this policy. Before you put a person's photo on a public page, make sure they've agreed to it.

Reporting content

Anyone can report content at katogen.ai/report, signed in or not, using the report link on public pages, or by email to support@katogen.ai. A report needs:

  1. the link to the content;
  2. what's wrong: an intimate image shared without consent, your copyrighted work, someone pretending to be you, harassment or threats, or something else;
  3. a short description;
  4. your full name and an email address we can reach you at;
  5. the good-faith statement for that kind of report, which you tick to confirm; and
  6. your signature: typing your full name counts.

You'll get a reference number and a receipt by email. We review every report and aim to act within 48 hours. Reporting in bad faith, or knowingly making a false report, can break the law and this policy.

TAKE IT DOWN Act requests

The TAKE IT DOWN Act is a US law about intimate images shared without consent. If an intimate image or video of you (or of someone you're authorized to act for) is on KatoGen without consent, report it as “An intimate image shared without consent”. A valid request has:

  1. your physical or electronic signature (your typed full name on the form);
  2. the link to the image or video, so we can find it;
  3. a brief statement that you believe in good faith it was published without consent, with any information that helps us decide; and
  4. your contact details (your name and email address).

We remove it within 48 hours of receiving a valid request. Taking down a generation deletes its files from our storage, takes it off Community and its own page, and removes the copies of it KatoGen made: the kit images and share cards made from it, and any copy on KatoGen's own pages, such as an effect cover. Taking down an event, release or stylist page also takes down the generations it showed.

We don't scan for re-uploads of the same image, so if you find another copy on KatoGen, report that link too. Copies other people saved, or that live on other sites, are out of our reach.

What we do about breaches

Depending on what happened, we may:

  • remove content or unpublish a page;
  • take it off Community;
  • suspend or close an account, and end its credits;
  • report it to NCMEC, law enforcement or another authority.

Content removed after a report stays unavailable to its owner and can't be published again. If you think we got it wrong, email support@katogen.ai.
